totalled asc at auction

Post by negusm »

Found another one. Its at a salvage auction though. Not sure if you will be able to see the pictures, and they dont show the unit number with the VIN at that auction for some reason.

Let me know if you cant view them and want them emailed or something.

Looks like it was totaled out over a busted front bumper cover. Shame.

Its in Texas somewhere. I will get a better idea of where. Then you could have someone call every junkyard in that area. BUT, it could go anywhere. I could bid on it and it could come as far as Ohio.

Just wanted someone to get the pics to see where this one is.

What is "AO" for damage type?

It looks pretty good. I don't see any "total" WTF ? A bumper cover ? What am I missing ??

This is one of those that would probably make somebody a great daily driver or something.

Its too bad it may get parted out for a dumb bumper cover tear.

McAllen is right next to the Mexican border. I have heard that a person has to be careful buying a car from that area, due to the potential for stolen parts, fishy titles and who knows what else.

Beware it also can mean it is a water damage vehicle meaning a ton of electric and other non working mechanical problems.

What are the ball park ranges that this car should go for? If it's really in bad shape, but has a mostly decent body?

I have '93 LX vert, and want to remove the top completely, and aqquire the McLaren fiberglass top cover. So I don't know if I'll find the parts I need, or have to buy a car (such as this one) for just the top parts. I was told by someone that the parts alone are usually only found on a totalled McLaren.

BTW this will in no way match up with your '93 Vert. The ASC Mclarens were customized that the windshield is lowered 20 degrees. Henceforth you will have to do massive modifications that would not justify converting and be cheaper to just purchase an ASC Mclaren to your liking.

Ok just read your other post and if I got the jist you are just looking to use the fiberglass vert cover similar to how a Saleen Speedster would work with '94-'04 models. I am not sure if it would even work and to be honest what happens when it rains?
