Yeah, that's what I think. But I still wonder if the 85s (early ones) had a slightly different deal. Tom seems pretty sure on how his car was setup. I'm sure there were little tiny details that asc did early on that were just not worth the effort. This was probably something similar.

If *I* were asc, I would have said screw Tom's little adjustable bracket dingy (who adjusts foglights ANYWAYS?) and remould the bumper to fit the fog lights correctly the first time. Quick installation. Less parts. Cheaper build and the customer won't notice or care.

There's no bracket, at all. There is the big hole behind the light then there should be 4 screw holes where a U-shaped nut type of thing slides over the hole and then the light is screwed into those.

The wiring harness was the Ford harness and it was run along the airdam, it absolutely was a factory harness.

svt1996cobra (david) and I have been swapping details on foglights and how we are going to try installing them.

I was thinking that the foglights came apart and the light goes in from the back and the plastic covermounts from the front and the air dam is sandwiched in between those pieces.

HOWEVER! The lights will not mount from behind the air dam without some trimming of the opening! Pluse the foglights would be VERY deeply sunken into the car.

The other way would be to mount it from the front and bolt them to the air dam at the holes that are at the corners of the fog lights. This begs the question, WHAT mounting hardware was used? It would take a very minimal bolt/washer setup (small bracket?) to do this. Normally it would be easy, but the corner holes in the foglights are very very big!

Note the BOLT in the corner with some kind of grommet/washer. Does this ring any bells for anyone? The foglights I have never came with the bolt or washer/grommet.

That bolt is what mine had and they just screwed into some sheetmetal nut thing like those that you would use for a fender on the top. You'd screw them in and adjust as you go. Light housing touched the airdam in the back.

I really wish I had taken pics but at the time who gave a crap since mine were still there, I didn't need no stinking pics.

Mine had 4 as far as I can remember.

I have a Hank repro airdam. My fog lights have 4 threaded studs protruding out the back. One on each corner. I just drilled 4 holes in the airdam to received these studs and installed them. Put a washer and nut on the back side. They fit far back in the airdam

Are your foglights from Hank or original? I got foglights from Hank and never got those threaded studs on them.

But it sounds like thats what we're talking about. Now I just need to get some kind of grommet to hold the studs in place.
