That is outstanding. You are a lucky guy.
This is a sore subject with me, as I have spent the past year and a half trying to find an airplane hangar, building or land on which I could put a building. So far, every prospect has turned out to be either:
1. Expensive ($115k for a run-down 50x50 hangar at a little airport);
2. Too far from my house;
3. Land subject to deed restrictions that will not permit buildings;
4. Too close to sketchy neighborhoods.
I live in an area that is growing like crazy (my town has grown from 40,000 to 100,000 in five years), and as a result, land prices have shot up like crazy.
I am so desperate that I am considering looking into a business plan to start a self-storage facility, just so that I would have a place to put my cars, and maybe make a few bucks too. Oh, the torment of it all . . . .

There is a guy at work who is big into classic Camaros and is contemplating building a self storage facility. Every storage unit would have electricity and compressed air.
Qualified experts on body work, welding, machine work, etc will be available for consultation.
Basically pull in your hulk that the wife doesn't want in your garage and pay a monthly storage fee. If you need expert help, rent an expert for a few hours on the weekend.

My concept is similar, except for the part about having experts on call. The idea would be to rent storage spaces only to people who would store cars in them. Hopefully, this would engender some camaraderie and also make lessees feel that their vehicles are safer and less likely to have a guy cooking meth in the next space.
