Moral Dilemma

Hey all, just looking for some advice on what to do with my 86 McLaren Coupe. It has 57k original miles, real nice inside, needs help outside. Wrecked, salvage title car. I havw straightened the frame, bought all parts for the exterior to get it going again. Needs parts installed and paint.

Problem is....I got a hundred projects, and am tired of having 1 car for this, 1 car for that. I want something I can drive everyday, and enjoy. I was never this way, but after having many cars untouched for so long, I can't stand to see this car with 58k 10 years from now.

Here's what I am thinking. I have a ton of go fast goodies for my daily.....just a plain jane 86 Capri 5.0, got some rust issues. I am thinking of selling my 86 5.0 and putting these parts on my McLaren Coupe.....I never wanted to do this, but I am slowly realizing, this car isn't going to be worth anything to anyone else due to the salvage history, so why don't I make it the ultimate daily(weekend) driver, second only to Mr. Martinelli's of course.

What do you all think? Things are changing in my life, and I am starting to regret spending the absurd amount of money on storage each month for cars and parts that won't see the light of day.

This was my original plan with my 85 vert that everyone deemed scrap, but if I sell everything to make my 86 McCoupe sweet, I am thinking the vert will be getting the resto instead. I can't see myself driving a vert everyday.

As time goes on, people care less and less about salvage titles.

What exactly "go fast" stuff do you have. Keep the original parts and do bolt ons. Then if you have another change of heart, you can go back.

A hundred projects is not cool. You need to pick one or two. Its easy to get things torn apart, then get neglected then you don't know how it goes back together or where you left of.

Do it up and enjoy it!! IMO there is nothing else to do...

My thoughts are, as long as you don't effect the integrity of the vehicle (cut, hack, put a Mustang front on it,etc. ) and save the original parts in case someday you want it back to original. Enjoy the car! For me the cars that mean the most to me are the ones I have drove and enjoyed. I drove the wheels off my EuroCoupe last summer, and plan to do the same this summer.
