With that out of the way:
I recently realized that i dont have the time, money, space, or even really the interest to finish this car so it's time to let her go.
The car is a 1986 ascMclaren Mercury Capri with an automatic 5.0. It is one of nine AscMcLaren Capri's with an auto and one of three of this particular color combination (so i hear). I parked it about 2 years ago but it has been started on a fairly regular basis The car has around 115K miles on it. It uses a LOT of oil (a quart every 200 miles or so) and before i parked it a valve seems to have started tapping.
The brakes are a bit spongy but i daily drove it for a year like that so they are at least servicable. Most of the interior is out of the car at the moment but i will include it. The only thing i KNOW is missing is the front carpet and the nuts and bolts to put the rest in. The Mclaren ground effects kit is not on the car as all of the pieces are damaged in some way (they were like this when i bought it). The side skirts have many cracks and the rear piece is broken in half, i do have them though. On the plus side it comes with a brand new (uninstalled) air dam. I also have a new set of the ascMcLaren striping and stickers.
It was originally a texas car so the body is relatively rust free. I noticed a couple of bubbles behind the rear fenderwell that havent broken through the paint yet but that's about it. There are minor dings here and there but the only large one is behind the passenger door, it looks kind of like someone kicked it there.
The car will run but only when it feels like it. One week i started it and it ran fine, this week i couldnt start it to save my life so plan on towing it home.
Right now the car has a 79 Capri RS hood, but i will be including the original hood in the sale as well. The car also comes with a set of Center Line wheels, but i have the oringinal ascMclaren wheels to include (they need restored). The car also has a 2.25" flowmaster cat-back exhaust.
The car has been stored in a barn for 2 years so expect whatever pains that may bring.
The only other problems are a small tranny fluid leak, a slightly cracked front windshield (i drove it with it that way for a year), and the hatch lock is being fussy.
The car is at my parents house so i cant take new pictures at the moment. (the following pictures are old, the car now has the original hatch with spoiler on it but otherwise looks the same except a little more dusty). Remember, assume the car is non-running if you make plans on purchasing it.
