White one, note the white taillamps ! Yes, again the wheels are wrong!
People can't seem to ever leave the CORRECT wheels on a car, these days !! Even bone stock examples are runnin around with the wrong wheels on them ! Must be epidemic!

Yeah, it's called TRXMetricnosis. Nobody wants to shell out $250 to $300 PER TIRE after 35kmiles. So new set of wheels go on. This is true of everything from 79-84. In 85 they went to the 10 holes and the english tire size.
Yet, again you cna thank FORD for that!

All 5 of my cars added up come to 29,000 miles (Won't bother me ~ the OEM tires on the "Magics" would last me 4-ever.) My coupe has 682 miles on OEM rubber in perfect condition. The twin '90 verts have 2,033 & 7,327 on them, the '93 Sixty Special Caddy had 9,821 and the daily driver Town Car is with 9,440. Total is 29,303. Our son, however has 29,500 on his Cherokee, in just 5 years. Somehow he's doing 6,000 miles a year. I gotta keep a tighter eye on him, I tell 'ya !!

Sandy you are right, but when I found the 83 Crimson Cat the last owner changed the seats only to SVO (I think) seats. But after over 100 K miles still had the original Cougar wheels. I put different wheels on to save originals. I sure wish I could find the right seats for the CC, 100 K or not. I still drive it 4 or 5 K a year, but paint is not good any more. Larry
IF I hade ever bought a C.C. the 1st thing I would have done would have been to dump those ugly wheels they put on it (HOWEVER, I would have saved & stored them, for any future owner. NOTHING is gained by throwing out for garbage pick-up....a concept missed by most after market enthusiasts, who seemingly love throwing stuff out) ~ Anyhow I woulda have put on the TRX GOLD wheels from the "MagicS" ~ a much better match for te C.C.'s Gold Striping !
The rarest of all Capri Special Editions (production #-wise) was the bubble back 1983 Black Magic .... 805 were made, I think I read. Even rarer? a 1983 Bubble Back Black Magic >>> in White !!

I think the CC was only 805 or 806 also I could find out as I still have 2 copies of the Magazine on Capri life. I will look as soon as the Nascar race is over, just have to go upstairs. I will let you know when I find out.

805 is the number for the Crimson Cat...
469 is the number of 1983 Black Magics
There were no White Magics of 1983. Ford dropped the option for the white paint that year.
