seen a mclaren in the Dearborn, MI Memorial Day parade monday.
looked to be about an 87,8 or 9.
factory red paint, mesh asc rims.
it had a custom hood. hood had the 79 pace car raised scoop with louvers on each side in the hood..
other than the hood, it looked all original. a friend took a few photos of it.i will post as soon as he emails them to me.

Mesh wheels would signal a 1987 or 1988. If the exterior mirrors were ON THE DOOR (rather than on ther "A" pillar) she was a late 1988. If the mirrors were on the "A" Pillar, she was a 1987 or a early 1988.
If one has the directional wheels, she is a 1989 OR a 1990. If she's Gold or happens to have a dark brown roof, she's a 1989. If she has either white OR black interior, or is bright aqua, or pink, she's a 1990.
Otherwise it's impossible to tell them apart.

may have been a Ford owned car. alot of the vehicals in the parade are provided by Ford Mo. Co. , Greenfield Village & Henry Ford Museum (this is dearborn after all!). it goes beyond cars & into old trolleys, horse drawn carriges, & even tractors.
other notable cars there were a mint 72 mustang convertable. yellow with black mach 1 hockey stripes & hood black out(Sweet!
) but with white interior (yuucck! 
)
also a mint 73 mustang convert. ugly goldish brown exterior with matching top & interior (yuucck!!!!
)
1963 lincoln & 1958 or 9 caddie
also cruised in the parade.
