Styling Bar

Has anyone installed the styling bar that is sometimes seen on the mercedes and add to some conv mustangs? I was wondering how it might look. If you have I would like to see some pics

I put one in my '85 - it was a lot of work. Had to notch the foam covering over the bar to clear the top mechanism, fabricate a floor mount, and move the whole assy forward so the top would work.

I really liked it, but since I sold the car to my brother (Dahberg) he has been working to restore the car back to stock. I have more pics of the install if you are really interested in trying it - send me an e-mail.

Ah so that is your brother. He mentioned someplace that makes these style bars on the old site. I contacted a local supplier who said it wouldnt be a problem to install it into an ASC and quoted some years ago close to $500 w/install. I have to look up the vendor cause I may still do it.
