ASC made hole or someone else?

Post by apecx »

Well we are stipping down the Mc this last weekend and found a cut out hole on the side under the molding. Anyone know what this is for? top adjustment?

I am not sure but my car may have its molding pulled off real soon. If I have the same hole I will get back to you. I am going to make a seperate post asking about the molding, perhaps you may know this as you are working with it now. Please look for new post so its not being answered in two different places thanks.

If you find one (the same) on the OTHER side, I believe that I can answer that !

Maybe it was a place to hind stuff driving across the border! Ha ha.

Does this mean my car is lighter and faster then the average McLaren?

I am fairly certain that you'll find a matching hole in size & shape at the same lacation, on the other side. I do believe these rectangle holes were put there by ascMcLaren and they were where the Jig fixture was attached in order to remove the steel roof.
