Couple of Questions. Visors and Recaro Seats
Re: Pics
Your car is beautiful! When I see cars like this it just makes me think Sandy is right, the car needs nothing. However I totally understand those of us who want to enjoy the car and improve on its handling and performance. I have yet to see an aftermarket mesh wheel that is larger for us to put on.midman wrote:Thanks for the help. Still hunting for visors, but I know what I'm looking for now. I put a pic of the car in the gallary, right off the truck.

Thats true you can get around in it well. But I am like Sandy I like my ascMcLaren stock. It looks good like that and its a ascMcLaren they only made 479. Its not like they made 500,000 of them like the 05-07 Mustangs
.

Great looking car, I think thats the best color for McLarens
(or is it McCLarens- the clock guy must be right we don't know anything)
Does your car have the blue interior? If so we have the same car. Auto or stick? Is it stock or has anything been modified? What is your dash plaque #?
Don't forget to register it in the database on this site.

I have been debating what to paint it. I like White yes but white is to plain Viper Red is Red. With red you can't go wrong. If we take my dads 64 and my 87 we would have same color. I really don't know.
The only problem with the paint that was on their it was that dark Mercades Red and they painted over all the Ford Paint, Primer, Clearcoat. Over the ascMcLaren White Paint, Clearcoat. Then they painted their Red. The paint started cracking (Wonder Why
?) because their is just to many layers on some parts I will grind done to bare metal and some other parts I will sand the clearcoat off so i does not crack anymore
?
What do you think Viper Red or White?
Red really sweet

Eh hum, stock would mean leaving the car the original color too. My vote is for white. When you get your Cobra kit car paint it viper red or lx you convert to a clone Saleen hehe... Thats another thing I love about our cars. You cant really clone it.87ASC wrote:Thats true you can get around in it well. But I am like Sandy I like my ascMcLaren stock. More Details
Hi Everyone,
The car does have the blue interior with Recaro seats in pretty decent shape. I'm still trying o figure them out though. I saw that someone had at one time posted a copy of the service manual. Does anyone have a copy on file? Mine have 4 buttons which seem to do nothing. These look like they have air bellows for the lumbar so I assume I will find a little burned out compressor somewhere, but I'm not sure.
Anyway the plaque number is 1082. Automatic, no mods other than someone stuck 60's on the back wheels.
I'll get the car added to the registry.

www.ascmclaren.com I checked (You can check if you want
) their is no service manual image on their and I checked the ascMcLaren Convertible Owners Guide Supplement (Orginal I got from him
) and it did not say anything about the Recaros. The Guide Supplement is only $20 from him. I say play with the buttons and figure out the wiring and stuff
. What is the condition of the seats? Got any pictures of them?

Exactly MY car, except for the wheels, (I have the 89/90 Unidirectional) and the sew-pattern of the roof.
