At the moment, I don't recall the "Gold One in Florida" ~
Now I'd like that Sea Foam Aqua one. But, I fear the condition on that one. I know the pics look good, but pucs can hide alot.

I know the son and the father have been talking about selling that car since 1997 - "only" 10 years !

That is impressive. Too bad normal Capris couldn't bring near that.

However, although the car is in really nice shape. There are things that appear to not have been restored correctly or corners were cut during the resto.

The car should pretty much be like Ford made it as it left the Factory...just with the engine swap. I have doubts as to why the engine bay was painted black. That could have been done during the engine swap I suppose. Why would they also paint the hood though and why would they use a weird underhood pad? These are just doubts but may be totally untrue.

I never got a chance to go look at it. Just way too busiy this week. I was hoping it wouldn't sell and I would get a shot to go up next week.

Okay, yes, Cali's Royal Gold.

If I had the space & the $$$ to blow, I'd buy Cali's & the Sea Foam Aqua, restore to perfection anything that is not 100% Factory original perfection condition, and put them into storage and Forget I did that !
I would take each one out - like 3 times a year for like a 25 mile ride, on a Sunday AM in the Spring, in the Summer & in the Autumn - and would do this around an hour after daybreak - so like between 6AM and 8AM, when there is very little traffic. Each would spend winter in heated, dehumidified storage, and emerge when I saw the first robin.

I was thinking that too. Although I didn't notice the weird underhood pad.
What about the body rub strip molding ? Should it also have the double pin stripe tape ?
