That almost looks like a previous owner put something in as a plug in place of the lighter (perhaps to prevent more of the little rings of melted vinyl).

Mike your comment is very unnecessary as well as the tone of it. If you want to help "educate" me on my car then fine. Thats why I'm on here. However your tone is little strong and off putting and quite frankly a little disappointing coming from someone as yourself on here.
All you had to do was echo what others had said that it was stock and that I should leave it alone. My point is that it was very old.
It came out wrong. I made and edit and put a smiley there.
Point is, many people start ripping their car apart and tossing stuff into the trash. THEN they come to this site and post, "I thought that was something a previous owner put on the car, etc". If I had a nickel for every radar detector, Kenwood radio, speaker cover and air horn that somebody threw out because they didn't check here first, I'd be able to buy a tank of gas!
