Definitely NO smoke 1/4 window covers on that car. The covers would be flush with the sail panels. That is not the case on that car.

I called early evening. Got v-mail, left a msg. Seller called me back a few hours later, but I was not able to take call at that time, he left a msg. We have a good game of phone tag going.

While doing my usual search of Craigslist (for that elusive rust free red roller Capri with a sunroof within a couple hours of Cinci), I came across these two listings, one from 3 weeks ago ...
It's a different number and sellers name, but definitely the same car. Raises some more questions when someone finally connects with the current seller... flipping? ... problem with the car? ... some other cause of a quick turn-around sale? Hmmmmm.

if I recall correctly, this car was also for sale about 1-2 years ago, same general area. I do not recall if it was the same seller. I will check to see if I have a copy of the ad.
I have seen sellers raise prices to eliminate the typical low ball offers. I actually did that with an 88 GT I sold about a year or so ago. I had raised the price by 1K and was amazed at the change in the tone of peoples emails and eventually sold it for my original asking price.
I talked to the seller this evening. He says he bought the car a couple weeks ago - says he buys and resells cars all the time; it's what he likes to do.
He made no mention of it being a McLaren, I got the impression he doesn't know much history of the car.
I asked for the VIN, he said the first character was an 'I' (eye), not a '1' (one); so my confidence in what he read to me is not high; but here is the CUN as I got it from him: 614270.
I'm going to try and take a look at the car tomorrow.

Well, its not listed on the eurocope list and I feel that was the only posibility. Still looks like a pretty nice Capri if its got good floors andframe.
