Remember....it has the front air dam and Sport seats. That would (by the book) make in a 5.0L (formerly RS) car.

This is true. Hey, I just checked. 1985 Sport Seats came in Charcoal, Sand Beige & RED!

What you probably saw was leather or vinyl standard seats with halo headrests swapped on them.

There were no leather or vinyl sport seats in any of the upholstery books from 79-86 that I see.
