I have to admit, it depends on what the person wants to do with the clone. If the person just wants some of the options, say, like a shelby mustang or something like that, then I don't have a problem with it. I mean, do people have a problem with the ac cobra car kits. As long as the person isn't claiming the car to be original when it is a clone, I think its all right. Maybe they want the look of the rare car but cant find one, don't have the funds for an authentic one, or don't want to drive such a rare car and risk it on the road.

Wow didn't notice this thread. This is great news! Of course I just won a pair of auctions that had about 50' of Orange stripe and a pair of Front/Rear ASC McLaren decals.
All this talk about clones. I have a real 67 RS/SS camaro and love clones! My car is verifiable via the tags. A true collector would know the difference immediately. The clones are great advertising in my mind.
I am currently restoring a 1979 Capri RS turbo. Getting parts for this thing is nearly impossible. Seems all the 4 bangers are gone. Interior parts are just about non-existant The term 79 to 93 Mustang/79 to 86 Capri is a LIE!
Now if we could just fing the company that did the Head/Tail light covers in business and we'd be set!
Happy Motoring
