I noticed in the albums section of the site that ASC displayed a 1990 Mclaren at the auto show. How come it has a different spoiler than what is on the cars? Did they plan to switch?

You're looking at a 1991 prototype. New Pedistal-type spolier and not yet on the car redesigned 16" wheels. (The actual design wheel never reached the "Finished" or "decession made" stage.) A new option was rumored to be Stereo Speaker Headrests ( a la 1984-1986 Carpri SC 'Verts. Weinsburg Silver, Bimini Blue & Cinnamon Brown were to replace Sterling Silver, Azura Blue & Royal Gold. Other 1990 colors remained. Interior colors of Scarlet & Opal Grey were being laid to rest. While Ebony, Oxford White & Crystal Blue were to continue for the interiors. Convertible top color of Claret-Wine was also killed, leaving the Atlantic Blue (Navy); Oxford White or Black.
Prices were going to get kicked upstairs !!
