I work at a pro shop and we have a indction heater too remove mouldings and trim all the time , what it does is makes electromagnetic waves that goes though plastic too metal and makes it get hot , and the breaks seal between glue and metal. It is does work, never used it on a asc though. If you might have better luck finding junk yard that has one.
here is a link to company sells them so you can get a ideal how it works it like 2000 tool

I have no proof, and I could be wrong, but I have always felt that the deck lid was from a 2-door sedan notchback roof Mustang. I have never taken dimensions to prove this, just the naked eye.
No, I have never seen step-by-step photos of how they were made, but through the years, most of us can piece it together, by looking at them.

Bubble back glass?bigzeke42 wrote:Has anyone ever replaced the glass in a rear hatch on a 86 McLaren Capri and can the replacement glass still be found?
Replacements can be found in junkyards and on ebay, etc.
New stuff is pretty much gone. I have heard of one NOS bubble back resurfacing. It was found in an autobody shop and sold for cheap (like $100)
I have 1 extra bubble back glass at home that I have an attack cat guarding.

Mike is right. We did replace the decklid on my 85 vert. We did have to make minor modifications on the hinge mounting points, I guess to account for a slightly different body angle. And the lock cylinder hole has a plate welded on it on the inside and the outside.
