Made my first big step with my 85 Mclaren

Post by red390gt »

I got it registered this morning AND it passed emmisions! I was a little worried that it might not pass but in the end it did. The guy doing the testing was loaded with questions about the car, he had never seen one before and was clearly interested in it.

My next step is getting the nose repainted and a small dent on the PS rear quarter fixed. Once those two things are done I'll get a new top convertible top (before spring).

It's red with tan interior, automatic. It feels like the previous owner may have installed a Shift kit because it shifts very hard and and at much higher RPM's than usual, 2800RPMs. I have everything need to convert to a T5 except the center console insert (trim panel??). I may convert to the T5 if I can find that one needed item.
