ASC Coffee Mug

just had a ASC coffee mug handed to me this weekend. i had never seen one before. i didnt see one on hanks site either.

Looks very nice. Its pretty easy to make aftermarket items like that for memorabelia. Maybe we can do something like that here and use proceeds to fund this site or maybe a newsletter or regional picnics? Give us all a good feeling about chipping into something we enjoy.

They sometimes pop up on ebay along with pens, pins, and other little oddball things. They mostly come from the Buick/Pontiac people

Anyone ever see one of these? I got this a while back. The "ascMcLaren" writing is glass etched...not a decal. I was told it was handed out as part of a package for a certain number of years worked at the company.

Sure have at a 99 cent store lol jk. Just remember we have the technology we can rebuild a cup/ mug/ bottle/ etc... bigger, stronger, better, faster then ever before, hehe.

Yea, you could fine a place to etch that logo in your mug. Plus you could add your car #

I must fess up.

My brother gave me the mug. He had an old glass mug floating around and took the asc logo and painstakingly masked it off and then sandblasted the glass. He was going to do a quickie job but it wound up being hours and hours since there are so many lines to mask off.

I asked him if he could churn them out since he probably could make a few quick bucks selling them. But he said he didn't know how he could make a reusable mask and get good results.

It's definitely an awesome glass. One of a kind.
