Coupe in reverse dress

Post by stangmodifier »

Any of you guys good at photoshop or one of the photo manipulation programs? I was curious what a Blue and Orange Coupe would look like with the colors reversed. You know, a Popsicle Orange car with Blue stickers all around. Can anybody do that with at least a side view and post it?

Interesting thought, especially in view of the fact that the silver/black was made reversable i.e. Black with silver AND Silver with Black.

OOPS... For Real

Mike with all the pics you have of your car you can't come up with a picture to use. The car in your signature would be good enough I think. Thanks.

 Well maybe you are right Sandy! With the body color change should not the body side moulding be painted the blue or orange vesus being left the stock grey color? Just curious and I happen to like the overall orange popcicle color. Not sure why as my wife gets sick to her stomach when I oogle over a yellow or orange colored vehicle. The classics in these colors are just plain awesome. Either color looks fantastic with flat black...

All the grey needs to go bye bye. Window trim, door mouildings, and yes, body side moulding, should all be popsicle orange, and then i'd give it 1 point. The reverse trick worked best on the silver / black cars. (Which might be why they were the only ones "reversed" 'Ya think ?

Had the coupes (Capri) been continued for 1987,there could have been more combos. I would liked to see a dark metallic green, with the gold metallic decals/stripes, as well as the gold metallic decals / strripes being applied to the navy blue car, and also a deep dark maroon car.

I agree the bodyside molding and mirrors should be orange as well. Leave the window frames as is. I never liked the way they looked when painted. Maybe when this is done add a pinstripe to the bodyside molding to break up the color somehow. For some reason gold on orange sounds nice too. Grey definately does, especially on the new GT500 Shelby with the orange and grey striping.

Hey thanks for the attempt. It gives me an idea of what it would look like and thats all I wanted. It's quite a bit brighter than Calypso Coral or Grabber Orange. Thank You.

This has been growing on me. I always thought of the Capri as the poor mans Porsche 944 back in the day, please dont be offended anyone I like both cars.

I personally think bright is better, much like what looks better a dull yellow or a bright yellow? Bright imo. I wish I was born of money I would love to be the first to do it. Can you imagine how many times others thought of this but never did it? Go for it!!!
