There is an 85 vert for sale on ebay at the moment in Michigan. It is a roller. Needs some help. Hope someone who appreciates these cars gets it.

If it wasn't such a long drive for me from Connecticut I would try to buy it, I always am in search of project cars at cheap prices.

wow this one is in BAD shape... how much money do you guys think this car would need just to get it back on the road and driving... itd say $5,000

Yeah, that is what I thought. Guy must like rare Fords, do you see the SVO in the background of one of the pics? Hope that one is in better condition. I wonder how the frame is.

It could be fixed up but with the value of these at this point you would be way ahead of the game buying one complete and running!

Very true, money wise it's cheaper to buy one complete and running.
But there is lots of enjoyment in buying something like that and bring it back to it's old glory.

Hello all
I found this 85 mclaren on ebay the other night and started researching the car alittle and came across this sight. want to thank you all for all the great info i found. I won the auction and am really exited to pick it up and bring it home and start working on it. I seen that you all were comenting on the car, saying it was a little ruff. Well it is. Now i have a delema and want to here some feedback. I know trying to get the interior back to original is going to be hard and costly, but i hope some of my old friends can help (i use to work at the ASC plant on autry in Livionia). I have a 86 Lincoln mark VII with tan interior that runs and drive great but hit a deer and the front is smashed and not worth fixxing, thinking of useing it as a doner car for the drive train and temp interior. I also have a 351w roller motor sitting on engine stand in garage looking for good home.

It depends on what is all there.

Ponydude got a fairly well kept car that was a flood recovery and he cleaned and cleaned and the interior came back nicely.

Plastice can be refinished as well as the leather and so forth. It takes a lot of time to do it.

Did you know Mike Huehn? I have 3 ascMcLarens, bought new, you can see them by clicking below. We have on here a guy that worked in one of the paint booths, OR maybe in the paint dept. I forget his posting name.
