I haven't mastered putting pictures in a post yet.

When you want to show a pic in a post:

In the message entry screen, look at the buttons that are below the subject textbox and above the message textbox. Click on the "Img" button. You will see the following entered into the message textbox:

Code: Select all

[img]

After that tag, paste your picture URL. Then click the "Img" button again which will close the tag:

Code: Select all

[img]http://my_picture_url[/img]

That will put the picture in the post. You have a free album on this server for uploading pictures. Click the album icon at the bottom of one of your posts.

How do you get a picture from my album to the post.

Go into your album and click on an image. Then copy the url from the address bar and paste it inbetween the IMG tags of your message.

I don't think you can in this board software.

The next version of phpBB might let you post thumbnails to your images. In this board you can post links to your pics or the full size image in the thread.

Other people post picture that are not this big.........why?

They scale them down before uploading them to the server....unless I'm missing something.

For example...

here is a small picture:

I used the following which has no image size information in it...it's simply that the image is small to begin with:

[img]http://www.ascmclaren.org/phpBB/album_pic.php?pic_id=4[/img]

You will need a graphics program on your PC to resize the images you have and then upload them.

i got a set of 4 MSW wheels for 100 bucks they look just like the asc wheels
