Run your Anti virus Scans/Spyware Scans- Trojans/virus will block your explorer.

As mentioned Above Run Firefox( with Noscript) and be done with it.

To Add to dehbergs post spybot is a very good program. One big culprit to keep an eye on is virtumondo virus. This virus is becoming common and will block your explorer. look at your task manager and monitor your exe's.

Are you on High speed or 56k? IF its broadband try refreshing your ip or reset your modem and router by turning them off then back on. I norm pull the power wire from the back then count to ten the turn it back on.

your internet issue could be a variety of issues I will say more times than not its a virus issue.

Ha Ha I thoght the same thing. I moved to lebanon TN about two months ago from columbus OH I'm in the country and there is no high speed internet. This was tough :( no online gaming for me and my Gateway 530
FX XL had to have a 56k modem installed in it. Right below the crossfire video cards. Cruel world.
