They even have it listed as a 4.9L

That would be correct. A 302 is technically not a 5.0 engine.

thanks, but I've put alot of miles on it. Plus I got a GREAT deal on it in 2006. I'd be happy with $3 - $3,500....... 162,000 miles. very good condition though. fun car. speedy! I need something a little larger and an automatic, tired of shifting in city traffic.

The Socialists in power with Cash for Clunkers and the way they figure out IF IF IF YOU are entitled to the $$$$$ is very simple, but they try & hide it from you. Here's how it works;
You have an Amrican car that's 5 years old or older and you select a Foreign corporation's car make - you are approved!
This helps in 2 ways !
1. It replaces cars getting poor mileage, with cars getting much better mileage.
2. It replaces American cars with Foreign cars, simply because little cars (the stronghold of the low priced imports are just that) penny pinchers with fuel.
Thusly further hurting our domestic auto industry - SOooo, while Mr & Mrs car buyer were pretty serious about a Pontiac G6 Sedan, it's exempt from the $$$$$ in liew of a 4 Cyl. base model Camry, an underpowered slug. Score: Pontiac 0 ~ Toyota 1
Isn't it wonderful when a foreign corporation from Japan, Korea or China can be preferanced by a "foreign Government to them (US) over OUR products. CHANGE Ah, 'ya, we are getting it.
I woked that chart for more than 40 minutes & could not get it to Clunk my 86 Merc Capri for any Domestic on the list.......
Anyhow, I am not Clunking anything.

Sandy, newsflash!
Today there are no more foreign cars! They are all made by factories in this country!
The government's mission is to save foreign carmakers low priced auto workers jobs and give the foreign corporate bosses HUGE profits to take back home to Japan and Korea! (and soon to be China).
Can you hear that sucking sound? Yep, more jobs and money removed from the good old USA.

Mike, newsflash!
The profits realized by the sales of the foreign cars made in the USA go back to the Mother-Country's corporations, therby enhancing and making their corporations stronger while makin American corporations weaker.
Human-wise, yes, there are 1,000s of Americans making foreign cars here in America, earning an honest living, BUT that is a different topc.
Regardless, in ecery catagory, I was escorted to a foreign corporation's brand in order to obtain the full $4,500.00
If I picked a G6 I was gentlly showen the Camry, or the Kia or the Hyundai or the Altima or the Corolla, never any Chrvy or Dodge.

Sandy. You just repeated what I posted. Hope you read my whole post. The first part was supposed to be sarcastic. Sorry if it confused things. I agree with you 100%.

Okay, back in hospital on Monday. I got switched back to the 1st & 3rd week, from a year of 2nd & 4th weeks for my chemo infusion, but I have developed a new problem, so..... I have to fget my skin Dr together with my Cancer Dr for a chit chat. Another surgery (#6) looks like it may be brewing, but this will be extremely minor. I'll be home in 2 hours....
No looking forward to thi one. I think it's painfull.
The stress test follows....that's when Karen drives us home and I be da passenger. I am the worlds WORST passenger.
