First time out not happened yet

Post by 86ASCCoupe20 »

I am an auto parts salesman with about 75 accounts. Most of them have become my friends over the years. They are all ages from 19 into the 60s. They mostly all liked my 85 Mustang TTop Gt. As I have been explaining my new car, I am surprised at how many know exactly what I am talking about and agree that I made the right decision. I think I plan on driving it this summer with the primered fender, no ground effects and faded black paint. I will be very curious to see what kinds of conversations come up. I will keep you all posted. Stan

Since I've had my car I've only run into one guy who knew what it was, and he chased me down until I pulled over and talked to him. He was amazed he was in the presence of an ASC Capri, almost like it was a some celebrity he was "in awe of". It was really cool, but since then, no one has had a clue what it is.

We met a guy at a car show that worked at ASC in the 80's/90's. Said he may have worked on mine. That was March of 2009. Wish I had gotten his name/address, he could have some information we could use on the history of our cars. This year the show was rained out. Maybe next march or some other show he'll pop into again.
