Black Mac fell in love over the weekend and went out and bought another man's mistress.

She is as black as night, as sweet as sugar and rose up, right out of her own flaming ashes.

It doesn't say McLaren anywhere on her, but I wanted to share my new found romance and a pic of her with all of you anyway.

I've 'toyed' with the idea of buying a nice V-8 from the last year of production for these 'Birds'. But haven't found a really mind boggling example.

Hey Ken,
I was trying to get away from V8s. That is why I bought the 4 cylinder model.
I am hoping that if I can keep my foot out of the boost I may get reasonable gas mileage. I was actually looking for an SVO, until this 88 TC popped up & I fell in love at first sight.

Nice! I always liked the turbo birds... My first car was a 84 Mustang GT Turbo which was similarly fun :)

Sweet Bird!

Thanks guys for the nice comments,

I filled up today & got 20mpg (basically in town driving, not necessarily gentle).
I drove carefully for the most part not letting the boost get over 4 or 5 lbs.
In the country near my brother's house I tickled her a few times just for the fun of it.
I had almost forgotten the sensation of punching a turbo 2.3.
I hadn't done it since I gave my 88 convert to my grandkids last Thanksgiving.
