85 Vert Body Side Moldings

Post by CocoLoco »

Hi all - I was wondering if the body side moldings on the 85 Capri vert were stanard Ford issue or special. Mine are a little "wavy". They have been repainted and look OK, but not great. I might consider replacing them if it's not too many $$$.

The make reproductions now. They are a bit different.

You can't buy original Ford anymore.

If you find a NOS pair, they will run you $600 just for a pair of the door mouldings.

So I assume they were Ford OEM parts originally?? At least I can keep an eye out for them. I have a friend that runs a big auto salvage operation here. Maybe I can get a decent used set.

Thanks for your help !!! :D

problem is, once you take them off, its hard to get them back to the original look. they always come out wavey after reinstalling them.
someone put up a post on how to remove, & reapply them on foureyedpride.
