Just an FYI, the back spacing is different between the early and newer lace wheels. The older ones have 5" and the newer ones are 4.5". Older ones are rear loading center caps. Newer ones have MSW on them.

When you say "rear loading", do you mean "inside loading".

I think that is what you mean, but I want to be clear.

Yes the standard types. I just happened to have a pair of spares which are not correct for my 85 and measured them before sending out to be refinished. Now I have spares for the 88.

Every "old style" wheel I have seen had outside loading center caps and said ascMcLaren on the wheel. All of the "new style" had inside loading and msw on the wheel. I have a set of both wheels. I never thought to check the back spacing. The only difference that I could find other then the center caps is that the center hub of the ascMcLaren wheel is flush with the face of the wheel. The msw wheel sticks out about .5" past the face of the wheel.
