FRONT AIR DAM KIT

Hi ! Since the windshield molding replacement piece , from Hank, has caused a lot of extra work. I would like to ask, has anyone ever gotten a front air dam kit, from Hank? How and what was it made from,if not an OEM piece? And last but not least. How did it fit? Any reply info. I'll be really thankful for.

I did. It is made out of somewhat flexible thick urethane. WAY better than the old brittle stuff.

The whole thing was a bit twisted and I was afraid it was going to look cockeyed after going on.

The body guy said it was a pain to put on with the finishing strip. You need at least 2 people because one person has to hold the bumper cover, one has to hold the air dam, one has to hold the finishing strip...

That's three...so you need THREE people. One for the bumper cover, one for the air dam, one for the finishing strip and one person has to rivet it all together....so FOUR! Four people are needed.

He did get it on and it looks perfect. Straight and correct.

HI. Thanks for the come back Mike. Been kickin' something around in my head. There's lots of room for it in there... Your the first person that's done anything with the air dam, that I've talked with. Got a small crack, and I'm not happy with that. Once again, I thank you Mike.

Hi! Well... I'll get to my input on this chapter of " A New Air Dam for You". Mike ,you were on the mark. It did take three bodies to hold and attach the new piece to the bumper cover. But this was the reverse of yours. The unit that Hank sold to me was made of fiber glass. Hard as a rock ,with no give in it at all. The two side pieces are made of fiber glass also. I think the body guy was happy to see me and the 'vert going over the hill and into the sun set. The jury is still out on this one, but I guess it will have to grow on me.

Maybe we can get together while I'm down there. It certainly would be nice to meet you. I inquired one time about my Capri being allowed at an MCA event, and the answer, not surpisingly, was NO. It's not a Mustang. But I might ask again. I know somebody who knows somebody who has connections there. In any case, I'll remain very happy with my red-headed bastard step-child.

Still one of the coolest cars around, even if most people have no clue.
