Mustang Quarter Patch Panel Same As Capri ?

Post by HELMUT RONER »

:?:

Anyone know if the sheetmetal geometry of the lower rear quarter panels on a Mustang is the same as the Capri's since Capris have the buldging quarters? I'm eyeballing the Scott Rod patch panels for my 86, but unsure if this particular section is the same as the Mustang's due to that buldge.

Should be the same.

The flare for the Capri doesn't start until above the belt line I am pretty sure.

should be the same. I would go to the junk yard and recover your own off a mustang.

My left side. I don't have the tooling to cut off body panels and the salvage yards are a bit aways from where I stay, so it's far from convenient for me. I'd rather order this and save up the money to have a good shop replace this section for me. Thanks for the replies, too.
