fuel injectors

Post by randyveach »

I'm looking for injectors for my '86 vert. I think I want the 24 lb. I found some for $199 but it needs an adapter ($34). can anyone think of a better deal? Again, THANKS.

You may want to get a adjustable regulator also. I would consider used injectors also people are swapping them out all the time

Is the car converted to mass air?

I found out that the 1986 Mustang 302 has 19# fuel injectors. Updating to 24# is no plug and play process. You need a new mass air sensor along with new wiring, coming to over $300 (estimate). Decided to stay with 19# injectors, and purchased them from ebay.com. I paid $89.99 for 8 rebuilt injectors (with a guarantee) plus $9.99 for shipping.
Any suggestions for a first time installer? I'll probably install them this weekend.

Pretty straight forward.
Pull off upper intake and supporting hardware. Fuel rail is right there. May or may not need to pull fuel lines off. The injectors just pull out.
