Pull Down Motor 1984-86 $47.00 dollars

Hi Guys

My Pull down motor on my 1986 cracked at the housing and destroyed itself. But Amazon .com has them in the Automotive section. Go to: Automotive. Type in Pull Down Motor. Its Dorman part number 747-000 Took 5 minutes to put in, All you have to do is transfer the steel bracket and the hook unit to the new part. All for just $47.00

Thanks. The last time is searched I found the plastic housing available as well pretty cheap.

Well if there is anyone else here that needs a pull down motor assembly for their '84-'86 Capri I have one..........

I bought the same one the OP bought on Amazon for $47(after someone told me this is the one I need - thank you very much for that) and found out just this week that it in fact is not the right one for a '87-'90 ASC stang.

I did find out a little more about my situation by the hot rod custom shop who worked on my car, the motor assembly is essentially two parts: the motor itself and the screw pull down mechanism. my motor is great, runs strong - however the screw pull down mech. is shot. Stripped. I technically just need the worm gear part, but don't know if I can get that by itself.

So, if anyone is interested I can ship it to you for $47. I'll pay for the shipping.
