How involved is it to replace the pull down motor in an 89 Mustang. I am picking my car up tomorrow and it needs a new pull down motor. I plan to buy one from Hank on my way to pick up the car. Wondering if this is something I could install in an hour or so before I start my drive home? Any of you have experience with this?
Thank you,
mark

I am trying to install the pull down motor for my '88 ASC McLaren. Can someone post a picture using a flash so I can see the finished mounted position?
I must say, when they fabricated the hole for the motor, they didn't cut enough material away to easily mount it in place. Especially with that $#@!#$ bar in the way. I can see it mounts easily in place with three washers/nuts onto the screw studs, then simply plug the wire in, but I can't get it in place....
Frustrated.

Yes, the '89 is identical to the '88 as far as the convertible top is concerned.Mustang Munkey wrote:I am willing to take a picture for you if the 1989 is the same as the 88. Do you know if they are the same, I only have access to my 1989.
thank you for responding and posting a picture.
