Answer on Coupe dash plaque or decal question

Spoke to a former ascMcLaren person today. Here's what I was told....

1984 & 85 got just the Orange ascMcLaren decal on the applique in front of the passenger, on the lower right corner.

1986 was SUPOSSED to get just the chrome ascMcLaren plaque. However alot of the finishing workers (last work station) liked the Orange alot better than the chrome, so they put on both, along with the LIMITED EDITION plaque, until they exhausted the on hand supply of the orange stickers. He said any combo thereof is "correct" EXCEPT a chrome ascMcLaren on a 1985 saying the chrome ones did not come "in" until late summer of 1985. He said the 25 1984s had the orange decal as well, but that under the ascMcLaren - in small letters it said "Style & Performance by Design.

I've never ever seen one..... of those.

1985 cars didn't have an orange decal (or anything) on the panel above the glove box....this is what you told me Sandy.

I don't think I have seen an 85 coupe with one.

My 85 had no such decal either.
